When I get close to the end of the block piecing I tend to have a final spurt of energy, and so it was with FWS. A variety of methods were used, but mostly using Marti Michell templates, and a bit of strip piecing, and finally paper pieced about three of them.
This top picture shows all of them on my new design "shade", the vanishing design wall. It pulls down quite a ways more (twice as long as it is wide), but not so easily with the sewing cabinet in front of it!

Congratulations on completing your blocks! Your last batch is lovely (as well as the others)!
Nice, Marti Michell's Templates are so accurate! I have the book but still am colleting the fabrics for mine. Thought of doing 30's but civil war has been on my mind more these days. Thanks to the trip I just took to Missouri! I'll be watching the Blog to see your setting fabrics and finishing.
Thanks Sharrieboberry!
Mary, I do love using Marti Michell's templates! I vacillated between several fabric options, including 30's and civil war before choosing the taupes. Of course, now I am thinking of doing some SBS blocks in 30's to border a small applique top (which I still need to finish!) Have fun with whatever you choose!
Your blocks are PERFECT! I never thought about using the marti Michell templates, what a great idea.
I saw that design wall at the Long Beach quilt show. It looked wonderful.
Lovely blocks, Connie. I'm making them, too, but haven't done one in a few months.
