Split Mariner's Compass

Last week I went to Asilomar (Pacific Grove, CA) and attended an Empty Spools quilt seminar, fabulous week, immersed in Mariner's Compass designing, drafting, and creating, led by Judy Mathieson. Fabulous!
Started off drafting, but she had patterns we could use too. I created this:

Still needs a border, but I have a goal to finish it by June!

Beautiful, Connie, so are we going to see more Compass's in your work?

Thank you! Been playing around in EQ drafting Mariner's compasses, so, yes, I think more are in my future. Also been playing with borders for this top, want to keep it small. Thought of piecing some wandering geese, but it just didn't look that good to me, a couple of plain borders looked better.
