New BOW - Grandmother's Choice

Barbara Brackman has started a new BOW to celebrate Woman's Suffrage - Grandmother's Choice. I'll be doing it in fabric in the style of William Morris. Here is the first one, appropriately enough "Grandmother's choice". I will say that this time I am converting them to 9" to make nine-patch blocks easier. I have an EQ7 project that will be populated with the blocks that Barbara picks. She very nicely includes the Blockbase number, so I don't even have to draft it!

Love those Wm. Morris fabrics! Nice color combination. I'm still pondering what fabrics to use.

I love your fabrics! Sew pretty! I am doing the Grandmother's Choice too. I did the Civil War block of the week in appropriate reproductions, but this time, I'm doing it more frugally in an effort to use fabric on hand. As a dear friend said, we're doing it 'all stash, no cash!' Since tomorrow block #2 will be up, I better get hopping on my block #1!

Donna K got it right. Exquisite. Congrats on your Civil War Sampler making an appearance on Grandmother's Coice FAQ page

Joy - I did the Civil War all stash, no cash, even the pieced backing. This time it isn't stash, since I recently bought the fabric. I didn't have it all planned out though.
Marianne - ponder until you love what you have picked.
Becky - Thanks! It was actually the second time Barbara featured my quilt top (and several others that she used in her FAQ blog post). Still feel honored though .
